A happy new year..!

Time is swiftly passing by, and suddenly it has been MONTHS (!!!) since last time I wrote. Not positive anyone still reads my blog. It's just a nice way of relaxing. I've always fancied writing, it's somewhat like a journal.

I generally write when something's on my mind.

Lately I've been highly bothered by the clear indications of the decay of Christian moral backbone.

But what do you do when in the present age, society is being pushed into a direction that shouldn't be normal for us Christians? I know it is becoming more and more common for Christians to practically share the same values and norms as anyone else, but is this the way it should be?

Ever more frequently I see Christians getting drunk, flirting about with just about everyone, approving of homo-sexuality and accepting it as an ordinary, 21st century occurence.
Christian couples play family long before even considering marriage. Or as soon as they get engaged, because "We'll get married anyhow, so why wait?"
Of course, we should know whom we're marrying, right? It is quite possible we won't even match together...
We live in a time where cleavages move lower and lower, while skirts move higher and higher, leaving little over to imagination.
I once heard a preacher say: "If you're not in sales, don't advertize."
Dear girls, we musn't try to understand this, but boys do struggle with this tremendously!
And I'm not suggesting we should look like nuns. You can even have your body look like a girl's!

Times change. Why shouldn't we?

It is true that God is a loving, forgiving, kind God.
But nowhere in the Bible it says He is tolerant of sin. The Bible states quite clearly the borders between right and wrong. It tells us God is holy, our JUDGE (don't like this word in this century), our LORD... And what does this mean?

I'm not at all trying to pose myself as the perfect example of THE flawless Christian.
Just trying to raise some question, maybe even provoke someone to action...

Old new things

Lots of things happening lately!
I'm enjoying the changes in life right now. It was about time!!!
Sometimes we get so stuck in our own lives that we almost forget there's more to it then this...

The school benches suit me well!
This 23 year old (not 22, I recently turned 23...) mother of two, with the education of an average 16 year old (come on, 15??!!) is back in school, and loving it!

Bought an appartment, too.
Great place, a playing yard for the kids and all.
...BUT we do need to redecorate quite a bit, so, if any of you feels like painting, PAINTING or knocking out walls and such, feel free to knock on our door!

Speechless

I am temporarily deprived of speech... I know not what to say...
Rarely have I seen an exciting game like this.
I lost half my voice, screamed like crazy!

This empty feeling inside.
Sigh...
Okay, I now cheer for Russia to win.
They played wonderfully, and were superior throughout the entire game.
And, of course, I have to support my dear, RUSSIAN husband.

But we know, Guus Hiddink is leading the Russian bear to the end...

And finally, 2 minutes before the game is over, The Dutch wake up and realise they could actually loose this game!
Their reaction: Van Nistelrooy suprises the world and reminds us why The Neterlands are one of the favorites!

1-1, with two times 15 minutes overtime.

God bless Van der Sar!

(Saturday 10:21 pm)
I´m GOING NUTS!!!!

In your face..?

(For the ignorant: 2-0, for the Dutch...)
